The absence of language is what lets grooming work, keeps survivors from disclosing, and keeps people frightened of their own urges from seeking help before anyone is hurt. This chapter will be about what silence costs — and what breaks it.

Naming a thing is the first move in stopping it. Most of this problem has never been said out loud.

This chapter is being written to the same standard as the sexual-harm chapter and the Trauma Cycle — evidence-led, fully cited, every door kept open. In the meantime, the two completed chapters show what it will become.
